How we write our guides
Waitless guides give families practical, general information about finding ABA therapy and getting through the wait. They are general information, not medical, legal or insurance advice, so your child's care team and your plan have the final word.
Who writes the guides?
The Waitless team writes each guide for parents and caregivers on an ABA waitlist. Guides are written in plain language, with a short answer at the top and question-style headings you can scan on a phone.
Where does the information come from?
Each guide ends with a Sources and check date section. It lists where the information comes from, such as public program pages or your insurer's member services line, and the date we last checked it.
How is expert review shown?
Expert review is pending. When a credentialed reviewer, such as a BCBA, checks a guide, we will add their name and the review date to that guide.
Guides built on state-by-state rules, insurer coverage details or waitlist data stay unpublished until we have current, sourced data and a named expert reviewer.
How are guides kept current?
Each guide shows the date it was published and, after a real change, an Updated date. The Sources and check date section shows when the facts were last checked.
How do I report a mistake?
If something looks wrong or out of date, send us a note through the contact form and we will review it.
