How do I use the ABA waitlist tracker?
- Add a row for each provider you call, and write down the date.
- Ask whether they are accepting new clients and whether they take your insurance or Medicaid plan.
- Write down their wait estimate for your insurance and the date they gave it.
- Set a next call date. Calling every few weeks helps you hear about openings first.
- Use the notes column for the person you spoke with and any paperwork they still need.
What should I ask each provider?
Ask whether they are accepting new clients, whether they still take your insurance, what their current wait estimate is for a child like yours, and how they contact families when a spot opens. Our guide on what to do while you wait for ABA has a full parent checklist, and the glossary explains terms you will hear on these calls.
Is the tracker free?
Yes. Print it or download the CSV and use it however helps your family. It is a blank template: nothing you write on it is sent to Waitless.
