## How do I use the ABA waitlist tracker?

1. Add a row for each provider you call, and write down the date.
2. Ask whether they are [accepting new clients](https://waitlessaba.com/glossary#accepting-new-clients) and whether they take your insurance or Medicaid plan.
3. Write down their [wait estimate](https://waitlessaba.com/glossary#wait-estimate) for your insurance and the date they gave it.
4. Set a next call date. Calling every few weeks helps you hear about openings first.
5. Use the notes column for the person you spoke with and any paperwork they still need.

## What should I ask each provider?

Ask whether they are accepting new clients, whether they still take your insurance, what their current wait estimate is for a child like yours, and how they contact families when a spot opens. Our guide on [what to do while you wait for ABA](https://waitlessaba.com/blog/what-to-do-while-you-wait-for-aba) has a full parent checklist, and the [glossary](https://waitlessaba.com/glossary) explains terms you will hear on these calls.

## Is the tracker free?

Yes. Print it or download the CSV and use it however helps your family. It is a blank template: nothing you write on it is sent to Waitless.
